What is Noise!?

Aside from what your second grade teacher told you not to make, Noise! is the first summer program for teens who long to understand and someday be a part of the music industry. Noise! is loud! Not to mention life altering, mind-bending and dream-inspiring.

When and where is Noise!?
The Muzak Heart & Soul Foundation is proud to present our 9th annual Noise! camp for high school students with a passion for music. Noise! 2010 will be held in “Music City USA”, Nashville, TN from July 18 – 28.

What will I get out if Noise!?

At Noise! teens 15 to 17 years old learn from a wide range of role models including artist managers, record label producers, music critics, audio architects and other industry insiders. The students receive a first-hand look at the environments within which music industry professionals’ work. They are given the opportunity to explore various careers within the music industry—better equipping them to pursue their dreams.

What is a typical day like at Noise!?

Every day is a little different – active and full of opportunities to meet cool people and learn new things. Days are spent visiting legendary Nashville music industry venues such as event spaces, recording studios and more.

We will visit with music critics, producers, songwriters, performers and others who have made their dreams come true with careers in the music industry.  You'll work in small teams and will manage some of your own time to explore various businesses and career opportunities.

So there is no TYPICAL DAY, but take a look at this for a snapshot of what a day might have in store for you!

Who are the Noise! instructors?

Much like you, all Noise! staff members share a passion for music.  Directors are experienced professionals who are qualified in career and business education and in working with teens.  Counselors have a variety of qualifications, but common among them is a commitment to helping young students achieve their dreams and achieve their potential.  Guest faculty will include leaders and experts in the music industry.
